  • Gorelov M. A. On a hypothesys in foundations of hierarchical games theory
  • In the study of hierarchical games a hypothesis on the behavior of the low-level player is normally accepted. It simplifies sufficiently both the solution of the problem in hand and its reasoning. The adequacy of this hypothesis is discussed below. The simplest two-player game is used to illustrate both the major problems and some approaches to their solution.

  • Yuditskiy S. A., Vladislavlev P. N., Toch D. S. A triad approach to network-centric control systems modelling
  • We consider a synthetic triad approach to modelling and analyzing network-centric control systems for various subject domains. This approach is based on the formal technique of objectives definition, the sequence of actions logical control, and interference of system activity indicators deviations from the norm. Human-computer interaction for triad modelling is offered.

  • Muravyova O. V. Correction and perturbation of systems of linear inequalities
  • The correction of incompatible systems of linear inequalities and the perturbation of compatible systems of linear inequalities are considered.

  • Pozdyaev V. V. On an analytical solution of systems of matrix inequalities dual to Lyapunov inequality systems
  • Systems of Lyapunov inequalities of arbitrary order are considered. A way to analytically find solutions of dual matrix inequality systems is presented. Some particular cases are considered in detail, providing sufficient conditions of original Lyapunov inequality systems' infeasibility.

  • Gulyaev S. V., Shubladze A. M., Malakhov V. A., Olshvang V. R., Krotov A.V. The adaptive optimal differentiation by standard deviation criterion
  • The method is suggested to solve the differentiation problem. It allows building the estimates for the derivatives of Gaussian stationary signals that are close to the optimal ones by the standard deviation criterion when the spectral density of a useful signal and a noise are known to within level. The problem is solved by the specifically designed nonlinear dynamic systems. A nearly optimal solution of the differentiation problem is found when the equivalent transfer function parameters of nonlinear dynamic differentiator can be made close to the parameters of the optimal Wiener filter for any fixed level of rational spectral density of a useful signal and a noise.

  • Solnechnyi E. M., Cheryomushkina L. A. Investigation of causality and stability conditions of a linear heat-conductivity object control system (special cases). Part I
  • We obtain the estimates of the norms of the boundary influences-to-temperature operators for two special cases of boundary conditions for the stable one-dimensional finite-length object of heat conductivity. These estimates are used to find the sufficient condition of causality and stability for the non-linear feedback control system.

  • Ajtkulov P. G. Symbol array processing
  • Suffix array for a string is a data structure, which allows searching all occurrences of the sample in linear time on the sample length. We build the algorithms for modifying a suffix array by adding one character, by adding blocks to the original string, and by removing the block from the string. We suggest applying these algorithms to index text entries in databases and file names in a file system. We also develop the algorithm for online search of the longest common substring in k-strings.

  • Akinfiev V. K. Investment strategies of companies and steel market cycles
  • This paper gives the mathematical model of the mechanisms of influence of investment strategies of companies on steel market dynamics. We show that the “excessive investment activity” of companies boosts, among the other factors, the cycles of steel markets, which adversely affect the efficiency of their business.

  • Eisfeld A. A. Modelling the two-rate electric power tariff taking into account the social consumption norm: the case of Volgograd city
  • This article describes the current processes of liberalization of the electric power industry in Russia. By 2011, according to Russian government plan, 100% of electric power in the wholesale market will be sold at open prices. These open prices will be propagated to retail markets of electric power. In the context of completion of “RAO UES of Russia” reengineering the problem of consumers (first of all, citizens) interests’ protection becomes topical. In this paper we suggest a mathematical model of the electric power tariff. Given this tariff consumers buy energy within the established social norm at lower price, and over it – at higher, economically reasonable, price. We provide an example of the suggested tariff for the case of Volgograd electric power retail market.

  • Gonik M. M., Boevkin V. I. Increasing the control accuracy of temperature condition in crystal growth plant
  • We consider a multidimensional (MIMO) temperature control system for the crystal growth plant. The control system regulates the temperature around the growing crystal with accuracy of 0.05-0.1 oC during the whole growth process. Design of the control system is based on the preliminary investigation and choice of the information structure of MIMO system to decrease plant parameters changes and channels interconnection during the crystal growth. The analysis of the system and the solution of the control problem are performed with the aid of the dynamic computational 2D model of heat and mass transfer in the process of crystallization. Separated PID regulators are used for MIMO plant control.

  • Kuprianov B. V. Modelling pipelined business processes
  • We propose a definition of a pipelined business process and a model that allows computing the attributes of the pipeline. These attributes include: pipeline performance; build-up time, critical operation that restrains performance. We develop the algorithm for pipeline attributes calculation, and perform structural analysis of a pipeline. We show that the behavior of complex is determined by the set of derivative linear pipelines, and prove the corresponding theorem. The operation of pipeline is illustrated by graphs and charts.

  • Director L. B., Maykov I. L. Solving the problems of complex power systems optimization
  • We propose a general model of a power-supply unit, a computational routine for circuit design analysis and optimization, and software that accurately accounts for the changes in the consumption schedule and solves the optimization problems for long time horizon. Simplex method with artificial basis is used in an iterative process to minimize the goal function that depends on the criterion chosen (costs, primary resources consumption, or environment). Decomposition method is employed due to high dimensionality of the problem.
