  • Belov M. Systems enginering and economical aspects of lifwcycle management
  • The paper presents the concept of lifecycle management from the point of view of management in the extended enterprise which supports product (system, plant) lifecycle. Extended enterprise management studies are based on systems engineering and economics approaches. Three main objects of lifecycle management are defined: the cooperation of participated enterprises; project program and product (system, plant) information model. Efficiency of lifecycle management is studied. Original architectural systems-economic framework is developed based on the previous analysis. The notion of proactive management is proposed, which utilizes the control concept “scenario-forecast versus plan” instead of “actuals versus plan”.

  • Ivanov N. Stochastic networks with variable structure
  • The well-known concept of a stochastic network with the given multi-dimensional density distribution of arc travel time duration is complemented with a probabilistic mechanism of network structure transformation. A technique is suggested for analytical and simulation modeling of such variable structure networks, with the aim to calculate upper and lower bounds of execution time.

  • Legovich Y., Maximov D. Selecting executor in a group of intellectual agents
  • We propose a formal method based on the notion of a lattice for wishes and intentions representation of an intellectual agent and for executor selection in a group of such agents when planning a new task. The method is illustrated by the example of a group of unmanned autonomous vehicles.

  • Zorkaltsev V., Kiseleva M. Interacting oligopolistic and oligopsonistic cournot markets
  • The model of several interacting Cournot markets is considered. Some of them are finish good markets while the others are resource markets. The markets interact by sharing the same set of economic agents. Every producer strategically chooses his supply volumes on every finish good market and purchase volume of resources in accordance with technology and accounting for supply effects on prices. We prove that in the case of linear demand and supply functions the model of interacting Cournot markets reduces to a potential game, and, hence, the Nash equilibrium problem is equivalent to some problem of mathematical programming. We also discuss advantages and special features of such representation of interacting oligopolistic and oligopsonistic markets.

  • Marvin S. Alternative fractional modification of hirsch index to care for authors’ count in article cited
  • Shortcomings are studied of the Hirsch index and of the other similar scientometric indices, which do not consider co-authors’ count or consider it with logical errors. The fractional analog is proposed of the Hirsch index, which cares for the co-authors’ count and accurately measures the individual scientific merit of researchers from fields with traditionally low citation rates.

  • Palamarchuk E. Stochastic optimality in the portfolio tracking problem involving investor’s temporal preferences
  • We consider an optimal portfolio problem to approximate a risk free reference portfolio. Portfolio management strategies are compared accounting for investor’s temporal preferences. We investigate stochastic optimality of the strategy, which minimizes the expected long-run cost, providing an asymptotically upper estimate (almost surely) of the difference between values of the objective function for the optimal strategy and for any admissible strategy.

  • Eremenko Y., Poleshchenko D., Glushchenko A. Applying neural network-based tuner to optimize parameters of PI-controller for heating furnace functioning in different modes
  • We propose a neural network-based tuner for online optimization of parameters of an automatic PI-controller for heating furnace control. The tuner consists of two neural networks responsible for adjusting coefficients KP and KI for furnace heating and cooling processes respectively. We develop a structure of a neural tuner and show by model experiments that such a tuner can be applied to control heating furnaces with the different value of the time constant. A muffle electric heating furnace functioning in different loading modes has been chosen as a plant. Having made our experiments, we conclude that such an optimizer helps to achieve about 23% decrease of time length and 19% decrease of energy consumption for each schedule in comparison with a conventional PI-controller.

  • Panteleev A., Letova T., Pomazueva E. Parametric synthesis of average optimal fractional PID-controller for flight control problem
  • We consider a problem of fractional PID-controller tuning to optimize it in average over a set of initial states of a closed system object-controller and on the set of typical input actions. The problem is reduced to multivariate optimization problem. We suggest an approach to the solution and implement it algorithmically. The approach is illustrated with finding the average optimal parameters of a fractional PID controller to pitch attitude guidance of an aircraft.

  • Karavay M., Podlazov V. Small-diametr system area network composed from small-port routers
  • We consider implementation of large system area networks with small diameter based on routers with small port count and suggest a basic structure of a 2D-4D generalized hypercube with sparse dimensions. Dimensions are implemented with a non-blocking multi-ring, which has unit diameter. All designs employ routers of Russian «Angara» series.

  • Stetsyura G. Extending functions of switched direct optical connections in digital systems
  • We consider new possibilities for creation of direct, yet switchable in decentralized way, optical connections between elements of a computing system. Laser demultiplexors are employed for distributed commutation while repeaters are equipped with memory units. The suggested solution allows for the fast design and synchronization of immediate connections between device groups.
