  • Abaev L. Expert ranking of alternatives in the problems of big dimension
  • The problem is considered of expert ranking of alternatives, which can be matched to elements of an N-dimensional space. To solve this problem we propose decomposition methods, which help to significantly increase the number of alternatives reliably ranked by experts as compared to traditional expert procedures. To eliminate possible expert contradictions we propose the genetic algorithm to solve the problem of matrix triangulation.

  • Kuchuganov V. Elements of associative semantic theory
  • The tools are proposed to reduce ambiguousness of semantic models of statements, thus increasing tolerance of a man-machine dialogue and efficiency of knowledge acquisition systems. A semantic model of a situation (a case) is described by a plex grammar containing 4 sorts of symbols with various number of attaching points. A process of semantic text model synthesis is considered as a process of inference of a correct denotative structure adequate to human text perception. Operations of matching and joining of pattern graphs are proposed. Adequacy of a semantic model is assessed by checking its grammatical validity, matching elements of a new model to ones stored in a knowledge base, as well as detecting difference between properties, relations and links of new elements.

  • Orlov A., Pugach O. Approaches to the general theory of risk
  • In order to construct a general theory of risk we analyze the use of the term «risk» in various fields, consider its types and give basic definitions for the areas of risk analysis, evaluation and management.

  • Agalakov Y. Estimation of rare events probabilities in simulation computrt experiments
  • Computational experiments with simulation models for computer networks are performed to estimate various networkscharacteristics, for example, to check if a network satisfies requirements on a probability of delivering messages within a given time interval. If the probability of non-delivering is very small, this rare event may not occur during computational modeling experiments. We propose the design of computational experiments performed to check requirements on the probability of non-delivering as well as the method for experimental data processing

  • Uskov A., Kiselev I. Complex and matrix methods perform arithmetic operations on fuzzy numbers
  • We prove propositionswhich reduce arithmetic operations on fuzzy numbers of LR-type to arithmetic operations on complex numbers and matrices. This simplifiescalculation (in particular,in computer computations) and allows for the intuitive graphical representation on fuzzy numbers on the plane of complex numbers (in the form of vector diagrams and hodographs).

  • Chernykh N. Modelling of decisions of the stochastic differential equations with markovian switchings
  • We consider mathematical models of hybrid systems in the form of stochastic differential equations with Markovian switchings and a state-dependent switching component. We propose an extension of Euler, Milshtein, and Taylor schemes for numerical approximation of solutions for such stochastic differential equations. Quality of approximations is experimentally compared in Scilab software for numerical computation.

  • Furtat I. Adaptive control of plant with time delay in input signal without using of predictors
  • The problem is considered of adaptive control of plants with time delay in input signal without using predictors and measuring only the output of a plant. The suggested algorithm guarantees the desired accuracy of tracking the plant output to a reference signal. Simulation results are provided illustrating algorithm performance.

  • Dushkin D. Sensitivity analysis of web services in the problem of choosing the optimal system configuration with a service-oriented architecture
  • We study the problem of choosing proper measurement criteria for Web services’ ranking. Existing approaches to selecting such criteria are reviewed and analyzed. The issue of Web services’ sensitivity evaluation is studied in detail. The concept of sensitivity classes for web services is introduced. We suggest a routine based on machine learning techniques for isolation and automated class definition. We also present the results of a computer simulation that implements the suggested routine. In conclusion we outline promising lines of research.

  • Vilisov V. Switching control tariff plans of cellular communication
  • We apply widely used methods of switching control to manage the process of selecting tariff plans of cellular communication.Of two parties involved, that of a service provider and a subscriber, only the problem of a subscriber is considered. We propose a formal problem statement and describe necessary model parameters to minimize forecasted full cost of switching to the new tariff plan. We give an example to illustrate the method details and perform solution sensitivity analysis with respect to proportional increase in traffic volume for fixed traffic structure. We also calculate the effect of optimal tariff plans switching control

  • We describe a general approach to solving the problem of assessing status and efficiency of management in socio-economic systems. The approach employs man-machine algorithms for complex data structuring. We also provide two examples of applications of our approach.

  • Goryunov A. Automatic control system of the centrifugal extractor cascade
  • The automatic control system of uranium concentration in extract, raffinate and reextract of centrifugal extractor cascade is suggested. Control algorithms employ fuzzy logic and fuzzy neural networks. The suggested control system enjoys low sensitivity to plant parameters’ instability. It helps to reduce at least twice molybdenum content in final product and to increase process performance by 2–3%.

  • Sizikov A. Disigning of object-oriented systems optimization (on the example of refinery)
  • We present a unified model of oil-refining process built on the basis of standard models of mixing and separating operations. If necessary, one can replace these standard models with custom models, which can be embedded into the basic model by a certain way. The problems of inco¬n¬sis¬tency and multi-criteriality are discussed, an invariant is proposed for the generalized hier¬archical criteria.

  • Nikolayev D. Modelling and control of agent’s motion in uncertain environment by idempotent algebra methods
  • Intelligent nature of agent motion always implies several stages (perception, planning and partial implementation of a plan). That is why it is difficult or even impossible to build mathematical models based on traditional mathematical tools such as algebraic, differential or difference equations over the field of real or complex numbers. Therefore the main subject of the present article is using the methods of idempotent algebra to develop and research the model of agent motion in discrete unbounded uncertain dynamical completely observable environment. The model is formulated in terms of a nonlinear dynamical system over idempotent semi-rings, and, thus, has explicit analytical form.
